The Eccles Engineering Division designs and manufactures specially fabricated access gratings for Perry Barr Bus Depot
At Eccles we are always keen to look at bespoke applications outside our standard range of products. We have a Special Products Division which can produce high quality covers and gratings for any application.
One such scheme was the new Perry Barr Bus Depot, where the project had a requirement for specially fabricated access gratings for the engine and chassis wash down areas.
No such products were available off the shelf. So these would have to be designed and manufactured to suit the specific sizes of the washdown area pits.
In total three bespoke fabrications were required: one for the engine wash area, one for the drop/waste pit and one spanning over 10m in length – to provide a long chassis wash for the buses coming in and out of the depot.
A FAST, RESPONSIVE SERVICE
We received the enquiry from one of our merchant partners and within 72 hours we had costed the project and issued layout drawings of all three gratings for site approval.
Contractors BAM Construction Ltd approved our design and the units were put into manufacture in October 2022.
We oversaw and completed all three fabrications within just four weeks.
The client was delighted with the quality of the solution we provided and the speed with which it was designed, manufactured and delivered.
